Inspirational Getaway's

2 night South Coast Getaway ex Sydney

The Grand Pacific Drive is one of Australia's most spectacular driving routes. Starting from The Royal National Park south of Sydney, this route takes you through rainforests and seaside villages as you follow the stunning coastline.

Traversing the iconic 665 metre Sea Cliff Bridge is a must do experience before  the drive makes its way into the beautiful city of Wollongong, Discover the pretty Kiama region and its famous blowhole, before following the majestic coastline to the green hinterland of the Shoalhaven region and Jervis Bay. Stay 2 nights at the luxurious Paperbark Camp

Do it all… or do nothing. Explore Jervis Bay or just enjoy a well earned chance to relax at the camp.

Paperbark Camp has some easy walking trails that meander through paperbark, gum and mangrove forests and are perfect for a stroll before breakfast (a great time for spotting kangaroos). Or grab your torch and walk the trails in the evening looking out for possums and other nocturnal residents.

Mountain bike hire is available for guests enjoyment and are an eco-friendly way to explore the local area. The bayside town of Huskisson is only 15 min away by bike.

Or take the Paperbark Challenge and canoe to Huskisson and back, stopping off for a picnic and a swim on the banks of the Currambene Creek, a great day out.

South Coast

3 night Great Ocean Road Experience ex Melbourne

Travel south from Melbourne and soon you will reach Torquay, the start of the Great Ocean Road and home to the famous Bells Beach, Continue along the GOR passing through the pretty seaside town of Lorne before stopping at the Kennett River Koala Walk. After wildlife spotting its a short drive to Apollo Bay for a late lunch. After lunch continue through Great Otway National Park to Boomerangs at Johanna for 3 nights.

Rise early and beat the crowds to the Twelve Apostles Marine National Park. Spend the morning exploring Princetown Wetlands, the Twelve Apostles, Gibson Steps, Lord Ard Gorge, Thunder Cave and the Arch. After lunch return to Boomerangs at Johanna and explore sections of the Great Ocean Walk at Johanna Beach.

Today, spend time exploring the Aire Valley and the many scenic walks on offer. Grab a takeaway lunch from Lavers Hill en-route and visit Melba Gully, Hopetoun Falls, the Redwoods and Triplet Falls. In the evening sit back on your deck overlooking the scenic countryside and views to the southern ocean.

3 night Kangaroo Island Experience ex Adelaide

Leaving Adelaide the first stop is in McLaren Vale, just a short 30 minutes away. Stop and enjoy morning tea or an early lunch in one of the many exceptional wineries or cafes. After lunch continue to Cape Jervis for your ferry to Kangaroo Island. On arrival in Penneshaw it is a 30 minute drive to Oceanview Eco Villas at Nepean Bay for 3 nights

Today we suggest you take a private full day tour of Kangaroo Island's south coast. Take in the main sights of Seal Bay, Vivonne Bay and Flinders Chase NP to name a few.

Take the time to explore the beautiful property that is home to Oceanview, with Yacka trails and beach walks, birdsong and native wildlife. For those wanting more adventure why not ask hosts Tim and Tamsin to book a private boat experience and meet some of the Islands aquatic wildlife.

3 night Sunshine Coast Escape ex Brisbane

Arguably the most scenic of Sunshine Coast drives is the Blackall Range Hinterland drive. The road north from Brisbane takes you through quiet little townships nestled up in the mountains, enjoying picturesque views of the valleys below and the coast off in the distance. Stop for lunch and a scenic walk at Maleny's Botanic Gardens before continuing to Montville. Stay 3 nights at the luxurious Misty View Cottages

Enjoy a morning stroll through the arts and crafts galleries of Montville. After a sumptuous lunch its a short drive to Kondalilla National Park where you can stretch your legs and reconnect with nature. Explore this beautiful walking track that leads down the escarpment into a lush rainforested valley. (4km, approx 2 hour walking circuit. *Not suitable for wheelchair access)

 

In the late afternoon, relax on the private deck of your cottage taking in the picturesque surroundings. 

This morning travel further along scenic tourist route #23, through Mapleton and onto the thriving beachfront location of Noosa Heads. Spend the day relaxing on the golden sands and swimming in the calm turquoise water of Noosa Heads Main Beach. Soak up the laidback holiday vibes of Hastings Street and enjoy alfresco dining in one of Australia's finest locations

After 3 wonderful nights it is time to either return to Brisbane or continue your journey further north.

Depart Adelaide and travel north towards the Barossa Valley. Here we recommend a morning sightseeing this scenic region with arts and crafts, cafes and wineries. After lunch continue west to Renmark and your luxury accommodation on the banks of the Murray River, The Frames for 3 nights. 

This morning join the Wetland & Wildlife Cruise. You will experience the Murray River wetlands and wildlife that most people will never get to see.

Spend today exploring The Barossa with Taste of South Australia who will offer a smorgasbord of fine wine, food, art and nature. The Shiraz is the specialty in this region however with over 40 different grape varieties grown here you are sure to  find your favorite drop.

After a relaxing start to the day continue to Cape Jervis for your ferry to Kangaroo Island.
